Spring change is afoot

As we slowly move from winter into spring we are going to see some big changes to our trees. Spring sees a large burst of growth in trees, especially deciduous trees, as they prepare themselves for summer. This is a great time to prune summer blooming trees and shrubs, as their annual growth is about to begin.

One thing to watch for though; if you were thinking of pruning your spring flowering trees, it’s best for their health to hold off until after they have flowered and you won’t benefit from how beautiful they look.

If you were looking to trim hedges that are Acmena, Titoki, Grisilinia etc., now is as great time.
